Which substances dissolve???

Gosh it has been soooo much fun being scientists in Room 5. We have learnt to OBSERVE, make PREDICTIONS and preform EXPERIMENTS to find out the answer!

First we gathered all the equipment we needed for our observations. Thanks Zack for getting some sand from the sandpit :)

First we observed what all the different substances looked like, smelt like and if they were solid or liquid

Then we thought about and predicted what would happen if we added them to warm water. Finally we got to experiment and observe what happened when they were added to water.

Some dissolved (raro and honey) and some didn't (sand and oil) it was tricky to know what would happen!
